Asynchronous PvP
Challenge your rival's snapshot whenever you want. They don't have to be online. Neither do you. Nobody sits in a queue.
Visible math
Every stat, every threshold, every probability — on screen, before you fight. No hidden luck.
What money buys, and what it doesn't
The store sells identity, time and Battle Points — and Battle Points buy packs, so money reaches items, materials and gems. What it does not reach: rank, season rewards, relics, cantos and titles. Those are earned or not owned.
Four ways to settle it
Every class answers the same duel with a different idea. The numbers come from the game, not from this page.
Warrior
Rage is a debt the enemy pays. The Warrior starts slow, endures, and detonates — every hit taken is fuel for the answer.
rage·HP 270·spd 40
Rogue
Fast, cheap, relentless. The Rogue wins on tempo — a hundred small cuts, and the duel is over before the enemy's plan begins.
energy·HP 210·spd 52
Mage
The Mage trades safety for annihilation: costly spells that punch through any armor, and windows of vulnerability where everything is wagered.
mana·HP 210·spd 46
Channeler
The Channeler holds the world's oldest argument in their hands — Light and Shadow, the two poles of creation — and wins by swinging between them at exactly the right moment. The most technical class in the game, and the most rewarding to master.

Three lineages of the cataclysm
Your lineage tilts the build from the very first point.
Tharûm
Affinity STR · VITThe Tharûm endured the breaking of the world and turned to stone rather than kneel. They fight the way mountains argue: patiently, and last. Choose Tharûm if you want to still be standing when the duel is decided — stone-tempered skin shrugs off what would fell anyone else.
Stoneskin — flat damage reduction
Sylphar
Affinity DEXThe Sylphar outran the cataclysm and never quite stopped moving. They fight in the space between two heartbeats — first to strike, hardest to touch. Choose Sylphar if you'd rather not be there when the blow lands, and be three steps ahead when yours does.
Lightstep — evasion and speed
Aeshtar
Affinity INT · SPRThe Aeshtar did not resist the arcane, and did not flee it: they spoke with it, and it answered. Power moves through them like breath — pronounced, sustained, never wasted. Choose Aeshtar if your build runs on something — mana, balance, fury — and you intend to never run dry.
Communion — magic affinity and spirit
Your items remember
Every forge level is a real roll, and the item keeps what came out. Two +7s are never the same item — and you can read why.

THE FLOOR · +1 to +4
It never fails. This is where every item you mean to keep begins.
guaranteed to +4 · 140 dust
THE RISK · +5 to +8
Here it can fail. If it does, the item drops a level and loses what that level gave it. Protection stops that.
90% down to 78% success · protection from 30 essence
THE SUMMIT · +9 and +10
No protection. Up here the work is climbing back, and that's why getting there means something.
75% at +9 · 210 essence per attempt · 1 catalyst

This history isn't hand-written: the same engine that runs the game produced it. Change the forge tomorrow and this page changes with it.
Gems and sockets
- RubyPhysical damage +6%
- GarnetStrength +4
- SapphireMagic damage +7%
- DiamondCrit +5%
- EmeraldHealth +4%
- OpalAtk speed +3%
- OnyxCrit dmg +7%
Sockets depend on rarity: common 0, magic 1, epic 2, legendary 3. Each gem fills one.
Socketing isn't only more power — the gem also makes the item cheaper to build, so it leaves room for everything else.
Catalysts are not for sale: not one of them is. They're earned by clearing the story for the first time, and they rarely drop where materials drop — including inside the pack you buy with Battle Points.
Forged by one person, in the open
No studio, no publisher, no manufactured urgency.
Duelsmith is the spiritual successor to Duels (2008): the idea that the real game happens before the fight — when you decide what you are, and how you mean to win.
It's built in the open. The roadmap is public, every release is written down, and the cohort playing today is the one tempering the steel — their reports change the game from one week to the next.

Questions for the smith
What people tend to ask before they make their first champion.
- Do I need reflexes?
- No. There's nothing to dodge in time. You choose the build, the plan and the targets; the duel plays out from those decisions. Think better, win more.
- What does the store sell?
- Skins, champion slots, conveniences — and Battle Points, the same currency you earn by playing. BP buys packs, so it reaches items, materials and gems. It does not reach rank, season rewards, relics, cantos or titles: no SKU lists them, no pack contains them, and no amount of money produces one.
- Is it random?
- There's chance, but none of it is hidden. The engine is deterministic by seed, so the same fight replays blow by blow. You see the odds before you decide, and you can go back through any duel afterwards.
- When does it launch?
- It's already playable. You're looking at the test forge, where the cohort plays while it's being built. The public launch comes when the game earns it, not when a date says so.
Your first champion is waiting at the forge.
